Alright… I admit it. I’m a sucker for funny animal videos.
I don’t know why… I just do!
And apparently there are a ton of people out there that feel the same way about animal videos.
For example, this ridiculous 6 second video has gathered more than 30 MILLION views (30,151,517 at the time of writing).
Ridiculous it may be, but this is not an isolated case.
The sneezing baby panda has gathered more than 107 MILLION views.

(This one actually inspired me to start learning a new foreign language, by the way…)

What’s the meaning of all this?
Well, there’s some really important video marketing lessons in how to grab viewers’ attention and turn them into subscribers.
We can talk video marketing all day long, and get people pumped up about making their videos online and the leads will flow in like clockwork.
Well, that CAN’T happen until you know what kind of videos to create.
Rating System for MLM video marketing
After watching and studying many types of videos and used videos to increase income by as much as 8 times for my clients and myself… I want to share a simple rating system you can follow so that you know how to better create your next video.
Here we go from the highest conversion/views to the lowest
1. Videos that are personal from either family, friends, partners or confidants
2. Entertainment (like the funny animal videos I mentioned above)
3. Edu-tainment (The expert interviews I did with business leaders)
4. Education (How-to videos)
5. Marketing / Advertising (Infomercials)
6. SPAM! (Pure junk)
If you’ve been creating videos online, pay attention to where each of your videos fits into the above 6 categories.
And that might give you a clue as to how many “views” your videos received.
Simple 4-step formula for MLM video marketing
Finally, you want to see how well your videos “convert” viewers into subscribers, buyers or whatever action you’d like them to take next.
You can adapt a very simple 4-step process to sketch out your video creation formula called A-I-D-A.
- A – Attention (Awareness): attract the attention of the customer.
- I – Interest: raise customer interest by focusing on and demonstrating advantages and benefits (instead of focusing on features, as in traditional advertising).
- D – Desire: convince customers that they want and desire the product or service and that it will satisfy their needs.
- A – Action: lead customers towards taking action and/or purchasing.
I learned this years ago from a marketer and have used it for most of my marketing efforts (not limited to just video marketing) to create great results.
Here is an example of a EDUCATIONAL video (#4 from the rating system) I created using the A-I-D-A formula –
I then posted this video at a social networking site for home business professionals called Better Networker, and it got featured in Better Networker’s newsletter and generated about 70 leads in just 2 days just from this source along.
I’ll probably create a follow-up video so that I can break down how A-I-D-A was applied to it for you.
Anyhow, keep in mind that any strategy, either this MLM video marketing formula, some ninja SEO trick or whatever, has no value to you until you take action…
So take what we talked about in this post and apply them into your business.
